Supporting you

Learning support

We welcome students with learning difficulties and/or other disabilities. If you have extra learning needs or a health condition that might affect your studies, please tell us about it on your enrolment form.

Our Learning Support Manager can give you advice. We can also offer one-to-one support if you're dyslexic.

We offer daytime childcare and our purpose-built, on-site nursery is excellent. Take a look at what we can offer. We may be able to help with the cost of this through one of our childcare schemes.  For more information about these schemes and an application pack, talk to our Adult Education staff.

You're welcome to look around the Alton College Nursery and have a chat with the staff. Please contact them as soon as you're offered a place on your course - childcare spaces are limited and it's 'first-come first-served'.

Careers and higher education advice

Your tutor can give you advice about careers and higher education. Our Student Hub also has plenty of information, so please make the most of it. You can also contact your local job centre to find out when a National Careers Adviser is available.
