And if your earnings drop below £21,000 – you stop paying. This £21,000 threshold will rise in line with average earnings. You pay back 9% of your salary over £21,000.

Green Week raises awareness of litter, recycling and our environment

Green week litter pickers

Alton College’s ‘Green Week’ saw students and staff doing their bit for the community and the environment last week. With a litter picking theme on Tuesday, students borrowed high visibility jackets and litter pickers from East Hants District Council and collected litter on the roads and pavements around the College, filling several bags.

The Student Hub

Hub environment

To make things as convenient as possible and provide all the help and advice you need under one roof, we have a dedicated student centre called the Student Hub. Located centrally in the College, the Student Hub is the place to go for your general student enquiries, admissions and your interviews.

The torrential rain couldn't dampen the excitement of the students who came to collect their A level and AS level results on Thursday 18th August and it was worth braving the elements as the College celebrated another year of superb results.

Almost 900 students who are planning for Alton to be their sixth form choice this September were welcomed today by the College. On a day when it tried to rain, but the sun shone for every crucial moment, the new students were given a taster of the College which acted as an ice breaker prior to starting in September.
