This is a once in a lifetime trip, and due to the highly educational value of this trip, all students will earn the widely recognised ASDAN Universities Award, which will look excellent on University UCAS Applications.

The India trip will enhance your learning in important global issues, and cross-curricular learning in: Geography, Science, Economics, History, Politics and Religious Studies. Each student will enjoy unprecedented access to charities working in the Himalayas.

Based in Dharamsala, in the foothills of the beautiful Indian Himalayas and home to the Dalai Lama, you will work on a well-planned community project - to support a local school to install clean water systems.

Uniquely, you can participate with leading charities and Tibetan monasteries to learn about: Fair Trade, refugees and migration, Buddhism and meditation, democracy in exile; human rights and the rule of law, and environmental sustainability throughout the Himalayas. You will also visit Amritsar’s spectacular Golden Temple.

The team can carry out a superb trek through the Himalayas, where students can enjoy great views of the world-famous Himalayas. We will carry daysacks, so all students will really enjoy this. This phase will give everyone an opportunity to learn about leadership, teamwork, and self-reliance: all crucial life-skills.
