The Physics of Tea: Making the Cuppa Cool!
Dr. Nic Harrigan

Friday 4 December 2015,  7 - 8pm

These days some people view tea as bland and boring, ditching it in favour of its arch nemesis - the ultra-fashionable coffee. In this talk I help tea fight back by showing that there is more to tea than meets the eye. Your average cuppa holds the secrets to fluid dynamics, interference and even an explanation of geese flying formations. Using demonstrations and carefully crafted explanations I will show how the simple process of making a nice cup of tea hides deep, astounding and beautiful scientific principles.'
